Re: Community assistance — missing student

 

The UC Santa Cruz Police Department is seeking the community's assistance in locating an at-risk missing student. 

 

Atharva Chinchwadkar was reported missing to the City of Fremont Police Department on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021. He is described as a 19-year-old South Asian male, 6’0’’ 150 lbs, black hair brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt, cream jacket, gray track pants. Atharva was driving a dark grey 2010 Toyota Camry 4 door sedan, plate No 6JVD754.

Atharva was last seen by his parents on 02/21/21 at approximately 6 pm when he left his residence to get dog food and didn’t return. Atharva may head towards Santa Cruz where he is a student, however, is not currently residing on campus.  

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is encouraged to call the UC Santa Cruz Police Department at 831-459-2231, ext. 1., or 911 in an emergency, and/or the Fremont Police Department at (510) 790-6800, option 3.
