Sketch of suspect in sexual battery incidents

March 14, 2025

In an effort to find the suspect connected with two sexual battery incidents on campus, the UC Santa Cruz Police Department has released a sketch based on witness descriptions. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Anyone with information about these incidents or who recognizes this individual should contact campus police by calling 831-459-2231 ext. 1. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

The suspect is a young man in his early 20s with light skin and shoulder-length dark hair. He has a slim build, dark colored eyes, black plastic-rimmed glasses. Download flyer.

On March 7, UC Santa Cruz police officers responded to a report of sexual battery with physical restraint at College Nine/John R. Lewis College, apartment building A1. Subsequently, another individual reported to UC Santa Cruz police an incident of sexual battery that occurred on Feb. 20 at College Nine/John R. Lewis College, apartment building A2. In both incidents, the suspect fled on foot, and is believed to be the same individual suspected for both crimes.

UC Santa Cruz Police Department has increased patrols in the area and are actively investigating these incidents.
