
Chief Kevin Domby has a long career of focusing on community based policing, helping victims, and providing service to those in need during emergencies. He is in his 25th year of policing and has been a part of UC Santa Cruz Police Department for the past 2 years. He retired from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in 2023 and served in many assignments through the state including his last assignment at the CHP Santa Cruz Area which is where he originally started with the CHP in 1999.
Chief Domby is a team builder who, because of his past experience as a college instructor, connects with the campus community to collaboratively work on safety initiatives beneficial to all. He earned his BA from Virginia Wesleyan University and MFA from Radford University. In his off-time, Chief Domby enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with family and friends.
