  • Case # 12-883  October 12, 2012  OPERS Complex  Theft of duffle bag/contents
  • Case # 12-899 October 17, 2012 Wellness Center Theft of wallet
  • Case # 12-907 October 19, 2012 Wellness Center Theft of cash from wallet
Report all crimes and suspicious activity in-progress by calling 9-1-1. Anyone with information about these crimes is encouraged to call the UC Santa Cruz Police Department at 831-459-2231. Reports may also be made anonymously by calling 831-459-3TIP (831-459-3847).

Safety Reminders:

  • Always be alert to your surroundings.
  • Be aware of suspicious activity — and please don't hesitate to immediately alert the UC Santa Cruz Police Department of such activity. If you are ever in doubt, it is always better to ask authorities to investigate, rather than risking potential harm to you or someone else.
  • Lock your valuables. Never leave your purse, wallet, keys, briefcase or backpack unattended — even if you’re only leaving it for “just a minute.”
  • Personal property should be marked with a “personal distinguishing identification mark or number.” (e.g., last name, initials, etc.)
  • Take personal responsibility. Put valuables away. Do not leave them visible.
  • Close and lock office and residence doors and windows when you leave.
  • Save any evidence. Do not remove any evidence until officers are able to respond and investigate.
