Re: Self-Defense Class For Women - May 16-17

In conjunction with the Dean of Students Office, the UC Santa Cruz Police Department will host a certified self-defense course May 16-17 at the UC Santa Cruz Police Department. This two-day, 12-hour course teaches realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women.

This women-only course begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing to the basics of hands-on defense training. This is not a martial arts program. This course is taught by nationally certified instructors and provides each participant with a workbook/reference manual.

The class is open to the first 25 people who register and is free of charge to anyone affiliated with UC Santa Cruz. To register please go to http://goo.gl/forms/IJ1vKnfEtG. Registrants must be able to attend both sessions from noon to 6 p.m. each day.
