File a Commendation or Complaint

The UCSC Police Department is dedicated to providing the finest service possible. In order to continue to provide quality service to the community, we need your assistance. This is your Police Department and we welcome your comments. We encourage you to let us know about the quality of service you receive from our employees.

If you wish to commend the actions of employees of this Department, you may do so by writing a letter to the Chief of Police. Verbal commendations may also be given to any Department supervisor.

If you believe that the conduct of an employee was inappropriate, there are two ways to file a complaint:

1. You may request to speak to a supervisor, either in person or via telephone. This will result in the immediate investigation of your complaint.

2. You may obtain a Citizen Complaint form, either by coming to our office, calling us at 831-459-2231 to request the form, or clicking the link below to print the form yourself. Citizen Complaint forms and all other correspondence should be mailed to the address listed on the left side of this screen.
