COMMUNITY ALERT

March 17, 2005

On Thursday, March 17, 2005, at approximately 1:30 AM a woman walking on High Street at Bay Street met a male, possibly another student, who walked with her onto campus up the bike path. At some point the male overpowered her and sexually assaulted her. The sexual assault occurred near the Music Center on campus. The victim last remembers seeing the suspect going in the direction of College 8.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male 5'-9” in his 20's wearing dark clothing. The victim recovered his sweatshirt, a black Independent XXL, pictured below. If you have any information regarding this incident please contact UCSC Police Detective Brian Cabriales at 459-2889.
