Welcome to the official website of the University of California Santa
Cruz Police Department. Our dedicated staff of professionals takes
pride in ensuring a safe environment for our students, staff and
visitors. The strength of this department is in being able to apply our
unit’s Mission, Vision and Value statements to the diverse population
that we serve. We pride ourselves in being involved in our community
and participating in the decisions that mold our future. The core of
the campus contains 10 different colleges, each with individual needs.
We recognize and respect the diversity and uniqueness of the citizens
of our community, and respond to their needs without bias or prejudice,
responding to the ever-changing needs of our community.

responsibility and accountability, and maintaining a workplace

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month - click here for more information
Effective October 11, 2010, the police department business office hours will change to Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, closed on Friday.
As of July 1, 2011, UCSC no longer has an animal control officer. Requests for animal control services, including reports of domestic and wild animals in distress, should go to the campus police department.
